We are really proud of our new Year 7 cohort who have settled into life at TCS. They have been enjoying getting to know their way around the school and meeting their new teachers.
As part of their History curriculum students have been busy considering the skills need to make a good historian and have been focussing on getting to grips with chronology and inference. In English, students have been revising their work from Key Stage 2 by working on nouns and noun phrases so that they can build their vocabulary even further. In Maths, Year 7 have been really keen to try out our new chrome books which enables them to use the online platform ‘Sparx’ to support their learning. Sparx uses personalised algorithms to challenge students so that they can make rapid progress. This week they have been learning about place, value and operations with decimals.
