Dear Parents/Carers,
This summer holiday, between Monday 16 and Friday 20 August (inclusive) we are running a summer school activities club for our new Year 7s with a local group called the ‘Big Step’. Dan Leverton, who runs this, is looking for current year 9/10/11 and sixth form students to get involved with this and gain work experience on our programmes. He’s ideally looking for around six student helpers.

Due to the government guidance, this may/may not happen, but we are hoping for some positive news shortly which will enable this fantastic opportunity to take place. It makes sense to assume we can, and then if it cannot take place due to covid, we will inform those who have applied.
We are looking for students that:

Are positive role models (with excellent behaviour)

May have an interest in a future in teaching or coaching

Can offer help and advice to your new year 7s (during and after the programme)
