This morning, the first School Council meeting for this academic year was held in the school library.
Mr O’Connell and Mr Willmott met with members of the school council along with the Year 11 prefects to listen to their views on a number of important topics.
Students voiced their opinions on the school behaviour policy and the quantity and consistency of homework set across the years. They also discussed the school environment and what can be done by all students to help promote recycling around the site. The students also suggested ways to improve the school canteen, including the queuing system, if the food packaging could be reduced and if a wider range of healthy options could be introduced.
The school council, which has representatives from every year group, meet regularly to feedback student opinions to help the school improve.
