Our rocket teams NOAB (Nasa on a Budget) and Velocity have emerged victorious at the regional heat of the UK Rocketry Challenge held in Chippenham last Saturday, besting 16 other teams!
Their triumph has earned them a spot in the upcoming national competition on May 17th in Buckminster.
Despite encountering technical difficulties, the team’s persistence and determination proved to be the winning factor as they went on to take first place for NOAB and 5th place for Velocity. It was a moment of joy for the members of both teams, who were overjoyed at their spot in the national competition. The teams, who consisted of Sulli P, Orrie P, Sammy P and Keith E in team NOAB and Tom P, Freddie R and Kaya S in team velocity, received an overwhelming amount of support from their parents, who were present at the competition to cheer them on.
Both teams exemplify the best of the South West as they came 2nd and 15th from all of the teams entering from the UK!
Well done, teams!
