Massive congratulations to our TCS Year 7 and Year 8 Word Count Millionaire students who have reached huge milestones this academic year despite the challenges that we’ve all faced. The Accelerated Reader programme, in conjunction with the Library and wider school, is designed to foster a love of reading and success is achievable for all taking part. Students choose books from their individual reading range, read them thoroughly and then take a fun quiz to check their level of comprehension. Once they have passed the quiz, their word count increases. As a school, our current word count is a staggering 102,340,806 words read since September 2020; we’re so proud of the resilience and effort demonstrated by our students.
