This year we were proud to offer 12 diverse workshops, giving students the chance to explore career paths from construction to veterinary science—and everything in between!
🔹 Monday
We kicked off the week with Alex, who delivered an engaging session for Year 9 on firearms training within the police force, followed by a fantastic assembly for Year 7.
🔹 Tuesday
Nevada Construction joined us alongside two Dawlish Year 10 work experience students. They delivered workshops for Years 9 and 10, setting a hands-on construction challenge, and then led the Year 9 assembly.
Later in the day, Lennon from Amity Vets spoke to Year 10 and above about the dedication and commitment needed to become a veterinary professional.
🔹 Wednesday
Lauryn visited to share her journey from teaching to becoming a personal trainer, highlighting the importance of health, fitness, and local opportunities for young people. This assembly was delivered to Year 8.
🔹 Thursday
We welcomed Anna, who spoke about her exciting career in Hospitality and Events Management. She ran an engaging morning workshop with a small group before delivering the Year 10 assembly.
🔹 Friday
We rounded off the week with Devon Partnership Trust (DPT), who spoke about mental health careers and the vital roles at Langdon Hospital in Dawlish. Students met apprenticeship nurses, occupational therapists, and a psychologist. A senior nurse manager then led the Year 11 assembly.
Additional Opportunities
Mrs. Milsom introduced Years 7 and 8 to opportunities at TCS Sixth Form, giving them a chance to explore the sixth form centre and hear directly from current students.
Our TCS Future Citizenship Lead, Miss Brown, also delivered several workshops, including:

- University Life
- Apprenticeships

Overall, it was a fantastic week made possible by all our local employers that attended. Well done also to our fantastic students who Joined In and Worked hard in the workshops.
