Earlier this month our Year 12 and a selection of Year 11 BTEC Sport students went to Marjon University in Plymouth to take a look around and find out more about the courses that they have to offer.
Whilst there the students took part in a workshop looking at Biomechanics, Fitness testing and Rehabilitation. The students got to see who could jump the highest on the pressure plates, who could sprint the fastest 10 meters using the laser gates, used the bioelectrical impedance analysis machine to look at their body composition as well as some strength, flexibility and reaction time tests.
This was a great opportunity for our students to start thinking about what they might like to study in the future and they all commented on how much of an enjoyable day they had.
