This academic year has seen us form the Teignmouth Scholars programme; students in year 9 have been selected to be part of the cohort based on their attainment and attitude to learning so far in their education at Teignmouth Community School. The programme of opportunities is scheduled to run from year 9-13 and will support these students in reaching aspirational pathways, whilst exposing them to a vast amount of enrichment opportunities.
This term they have taken part in a problem solving workshop led by Next Steps South West and more recently demonstrated admirable leadership skills in a practical workshop led by the Army. On return from Easter they will be Joining in with a Law based workshop led by Mrs Wickham, before heading to Plymouth University on a school trip to explore the pathways open to them in Higher Education. We are also excited, ahead of their enrichment trip to London scheduled for July.
