A brilliant reception was held at Sandy Park for those involved with female Rugby locally, assisting the Devon RFU to raise the profile in the region.
There was a Q&A with Marlie Packer and Lagi Tuima, who both represent the England Rugby team. Tony Rowe, listened to Andy Cosslett and Nigel Melville talk about the future of Womens’ Rugby in our area at a very exciting time.
Laura Milsom (PE), and Lily Petherick from TCS Sixth Form attended the event as a student ambassador. Lily plays Rugby for Exeter Saracens and will be helping lead a new girls Rugby club starting this Tuesday after school.
All that remains to be said is COME ON ENGLAND!! Mrs Milsom will be taking students to the England V Italy Womens’ 6 Nations match at Sandy Park this Saturday 9th March. Students involved in the trip will be departing TCS at 10.15am. Expected return 3pm.
