Our Personal, Social, Health and Economic education curriculum will stay with our students for life. Through the development of skills and attributes such as respect, tolerance, empathy, integrity and resilience, PSHE will provide our students with the knowledge and confidence to make safe, healthy and informed choices, now and in the future.
Students will also feel prepared and empowered to contribute positively to society whilst upholding fundamental British values.
Our PSHE curriculum is carefully planned and delivered through one lesson a fortnight to all students in Years 7 – 11, and one lesson a week to students in Year 12 & 13. PSHE is delivered using a ‘spiral curriculum’ structured around core themes which are revisited and reinforced. As students’ progress through the Year groups, work will differ in complexity and sophistication, reflecting pupils’ increasing independence, physical and social awareness and experiences of the world.
