Over 100 Geography students visited Dawlish Warren to collect data and practice fieldwork techniques as part of their GCSE. Thankfully the weather was glorious and despite applying the sun cream there were several red faced students at the end of the day. The aim of the day was to investigate longshore drift and whether the coastal management at the Warren is effective.
There was also a competition to find the best longshore drift diagram drawn in the sand with a free ice cream as the prize! A big thank you from all of the Geography team for the participation and hard work from the students and thanks to all those members of staff that helped to ensure this was able to take place’
