A group of our Year 8 and Year 9 students had an incredible, firsthand experience of democracy in action during our school trip to the Houses of Parliament, as part of a Learn with the Lords day.
🏛️ Touring History
We began our journey in Westminster Hall. Our students walked through the oldest building on the parliamentary estate and learned about its massive 900-year history.

Live Debates
Next, we headed up to the galleries. The pupils were lucky enough to watch live, ongoing political sessions in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords.

Question Time
The absolute highlight of the day was a private Q&A session with Baroness McIntosh of Hudnall (Jenny McIntosh). Our Year 8 and 9s joined in, asking sharp questions about lawmaking, political life, and her extensive career.
