Good afternoon,
This afternoon education secretary Gavin Williamson has announced a revised plan for the return of secondary schools in January.
As you may have heard, the new plan is for the majority of students to be educated remotely for the first week or two weeks of this term. Exam year students will return from the 11th January, with all year groups aiming to be back in the classroom from the 18th of January. School will be open for the children of key workers and vulnerable students next week (from Tuesday 5th January)
We will be sending out a more detailed letter shortly, once we have received more information from the government. This will include details concerning booking and arrangements for vulnerable children and the children of keyworkers. Parents and carers will receive this via email and it will also be posted on our website by the end of this week. In the meantime, we would like to let all of our parents and carers know that we are doing everything we can to ensure a safe learning environment when students return.
Many thanks,
James O’Connell
Principal
